Burial will follow in the Cowell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper.

The son of William Sam and Alma (Bolin) Dotson was born on April 19, 1950 at Cowell. He was a lifetime resident of Newton County. He had worked as a mechanic and in construction.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors are his mother Alma Dotson of Harrison; his children David Dotson, Michael Dotson and Elizabeth Ewing all of Lurton; his devoted, loving, caring girlfriend Janet Canady of Harrison; one brother Glen Dotson of Harrison; four sisters, Linda and Luell Smith of Lurton, Debbie and Cary Middleton of Oklahoma, Donna and Ron Govoro of Missouri and Jackie Rylee of Harrison; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Harold Freeman, Randy Dotson, Tim Middleton, James Dotson, James Rylee and Braden James.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Martinez and staff.
