Jimmie T. Greenhaw, 77, of Harrison,died March 26 (2016). Visitation is Tuesday, March 29 at Holt Memorial Chapel from 6-80 p.m. Funeral is Wednesday, March 30, at 10 a.m. also at Holt Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Hatfield officiating. Burial will be at Smith Cemetery in Vendor.
He was born April 30, 1938 in Vendor. His parents were the late Brice and Annie (Reddell) Greenhaw. He was united in marriage to June Bassett of Farmington, N.M. on Sept 27, 1961.
At an early age Jimmie began working in the timber, then served 6 years in the Army Reserve where he drove trucks and learned to handle freight. In his early twenty’s he moved to a career in the trucking industry. After retiring, he returned to timber work. His main focus in life was his ministry of teaching, preaching and visitation.
Jimmie was preceded in death by four brothers, Aubrey, Hershel, Junice, and an infant.
He is survived by his spouse of 54 years, June; two brothers, Athel and Billy Joe Greenhaw, all of Harrison; two sisters, Nima Gean Earwood, of Western Grove and Nella Lou Baker- Hamilton of Harrison; three aunts, Ina Middleton, of Vendor, AR, France Procton, of Mossville; other relatives and friends.
