Helen Irene Holt, 87, of Harrison, died Tuesday, June 30 (2015) at Creekside Health and Rehabilitation Center in Yellville. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Monday, July 6, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. both at Holt Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Donald Curtis and Norman Sewell will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
The daughter of Major Lee and Effie (Bolin) Curtis was born on Nov. 24, 1927, in Bass.
Helen was a member of the Capps Road Church of Christ. She loved hunting, fishing, and gardening with her husband.
One son, Terry Eugene Holt; her parents; four sisters, Ruth Wilkes, Bernell Kuykendall, Genevieve Gregory, and Loy Dodson; and one brother, J.R. Curtis preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, James William Holt, of Harrison; one son and his wife, James Lee and Cathie Holt, of Clovis, California; five grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Curtis, of Harrison, and Troy Curtis and his wife, Rachel, of Dover; and her daughter-in-law, Kathy Holt, of Vacaville, California.
